After a string of six wins, the Okawville Rockets's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 62-49 to Nashville. Okawville lost against Nashville in their previous head to head back in November, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-28 score last time.
Okawville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madisyn Wienstroer, who scored 13 points. The matchup was Wienstroer's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brynn Rhodes, who scored 11 points.
Okawville's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-2. As for Nashville, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Okawville is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Belleville West at 10:30 a.m. on December 27th.
