Cambridge Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Leaver, who threw for 304 yards and two touchdowns. Tristian Martinez was another key contributor, picking up 133 receiving yards and a touchdown.
St. Petersburg Catholic found their leader in underclassman Damarion Rowe, who rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.
Another reason for the win was St. Petersburg Catholic's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. In that department, Zareon Capehart was the leader with two sacks.
Cambridge Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for St. Petersburg Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.
