Basketball Recap: Estero's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Estero was riding high fresh off their 61-22 takedown of Riverdale on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats took a 77-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Myers Green Wave on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (61), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Loss or not, Estero got some senior leadership from Ashton Peterson and Andrew Tetrault. Peterson posted 16 points, while Tetrault scored 12 points. The game was Peterson's third in a row with at least 16 points. Aiden Soerens was another key player, putting up eight points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Estero fell to 2-1. As for Fort Myers, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Estero and Fort Myers will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Wildcats see the court they'll take on Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on December 1. As for Fort Myers, their break will end when they face North Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
