The North Forney Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Tyler Legacy Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
North Forney put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 52-26 margin over Mesquite. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-6.
North Forney's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kasen Mccoy, who picked up 184 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Mccoy was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 68 yards. Tamarion Crochett was another key player, having thrown for 315 yards and five touchdowns.
Tyler Legacy fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Royse City on Friday and snuck past 34-31. That's two games straight that Tyler Legacy has won by exactly three points.
Tyler Legacy can attribute much of their success to Kalan Greenhouse, who rushed for 104 yards and four touchdowns. Kavion Hall also helped out as he racked up 113 rushing yards.
North Forney's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Tyler Legacy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.
North Forney came up short against Tyler Legacy in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 31-24. Can North Forney avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
