Grant Cowger put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (he also only allowed one walk). Cowger was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Cowger wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Clint Lemmons, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Cal Lemmons was another key contributor, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI.
South Central now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Morgan Township, their record is now 0-2.
