Make it four blowout wins for the Campbell County Camels this season. They blew past Natrona County 56-33. Given Campbell County's advantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Natrona County is ranked 41st), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Campbell County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cami Curtis, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Curtis pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lauren Kuhbacher, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Campbell County and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Natrona County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Campbell County and Arvada-Clearmont will face off at 3:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
