Make it nine blowout wins for the Boyd County Lions this season. They blew past Expression Prep Academy 96-54 at home. With Boyd County ahead 54-30 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Despite the loss, Expression Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Jackson Childers, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Childers has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rasheed Morrison, who scored 12 points.
Boyd County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Expression Prep Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
Boyd County's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Greenup County at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Greenup County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Boyd County is ranked 19th). Expression Prep Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fairview at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Fairview has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 543 points over their last eight contests.
