Notre Dame Academy barely beat Magnificat the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Gators' pitcher stepped up to hand the Blue Streaks a 9-0 shutout on Friday. The Gators not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 23, 2025 (when they won 15-1).

The team relied heavily on Samantha Gibbs, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Val Mastro, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Notre Dame Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Magnificat only posted an OBP of .250.

Notre Dame Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Magnificat, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Notre Dame Academy will challenge St. Joseph Hill Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Magnificat, they will square off against Independence at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
