Spring Valley is on a four-game streak of home losses, Durango a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Spring Valley Grizzlies will take on the Durango Trailblazers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Saturday, Spring Valley beat Mojave 79-72. The victory was just what Spring Valley needed coming off of a 72-45 defeat in their prior match.
Alijah Adem continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Jamo Mccall, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Durango was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 63-59 to Centennial.
Spring Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Durango, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
Spring Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Durango when the teams last played back in February of 2020, but they still walked away with a 83-78 win.
