Central Bucks South and Central Bucks East are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Titans will take on the Patriots at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Central Bucks South has four straight victories, Central Bucks East has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
While Central Bucks South's win against Pennridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Titans had just enough and edged out the Rams 5-4.

Brett Barrett was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Connor Thompson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Jake Yang was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Central Bucks West hit Central Bucks East with a eight-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Patriots fell just short of the Bucks by a score of 9-7. While the Patriots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bucks 7-0 in the first period.
Mike Scafidi was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Central Bucks East is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Jack Thompson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Matthew Sharkey also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Central Bucks South's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Central Bucks East, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Central Bucks South hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Central Bucks East struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Central Bucks South came up short against Central Bucks East in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 5-1. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
