Shelton's dynamic duo of Mark Piccirillo and William Karcher proved tough for Xavier to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Piccirillo threw for 114 yards and one touchdown and Karcher had 46 yards receiving. Kyle Drost helped Shelton's passing attack out by catching two balls for 28 yards.
On the ground, Sean Marinan's team's Berry has rushed for 1212 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Kris Luster. The Xavier star has 33 catches for 590 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Hamden takes on Amity Regional. The Green Dragons are in fifth place, while the Spartans are in fourth place.
Berry broke off the longest rushing play in Southern Connecticut Division I - West this week with a 71-yard scamper against Jeff Roy's team.
