Big Valley Christian will venture away from home to challenge Linden at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
On Thursday, Big Valley Christian needed a bit of extra time to put away Summerville. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bears 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

04/07/25 @ Calaveras | 5 |
Madyx Mitchell spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kailey Rivera, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Breese Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Linden entered their tilt with Calaveras on Friday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They had just enough and edged out the Red Hawks 4-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 27, 2018, but that streak is no more.
Linden also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Katie Schallberger gave up two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Linden's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Pitt, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Linden pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Big Valley Christian, their record is now 7-13.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Big Valley Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Linden struggles in that department as they've averaged .392. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Big Valley Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Linden in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Will Big Valley Christian repeat their success, or does Linden has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
