Baseball Recap: Trinity Prep Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Trinity Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks as they made off with a 14-4 victory. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by ten runs or more this season.

Max Anders was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aiden Stillman, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Connor Brady was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs.

Trinity Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Trinity Prep's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2.
