The Fairfax Stampede scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 74-35 victory over Metro Tech at home. Fairfax has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.
Ajana Kenyatta continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 35 points, 14 rebounds, and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Melanie Romero, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
The victory was the third in a row for Fairfax, bringing their record for this year to 11-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Metro Tech, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Fairfax will head out on the road to square off against Sierra Linda at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sierra Linda will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 259th, while Fairfax is ranked 127th). As for Metro Tech, they will be playing at home against McClintock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. McClintock is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
