The Fremont Silverwolves will square off against the Davis Darts at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fremont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Fremont is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering West Jordan just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Silverwolves have suffered since March 21st.
Cara Henrie was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Saige Steele was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
Meanwhile, Davis waltzed into their game on Thursday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Titans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Darts have posted since April 8th.
Serena Roth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Norah Sunderland and Jewel Korth did most of the damage at the plate: Sunderland went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double, while Korth went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits Korth has posted since back in March of 2024.
Davis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in ten consecutive contests.
Davis pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Both Fremont and Davis just can't seem to miss. The Silverwolves have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. However, it's not like Davis struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fremont might still be hurting after the 11-2 defeat they got from Davis in their previous matchup on April 10th. Will the Silverwolves have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
