The Decatur Eagles's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Canyon Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on December 8th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Decatur suffered a rough 56-33 loss at the hands of Liberty Hill. While losing is never fun, Decatur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Liberty Hill is ranked 30th).
Despite the defeat, Decatur saw an underclassman step up: Bralyn Peck scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. The matchup was Peck's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laken Coffman, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Canyon unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Boswell.
Their wins bumped Decatur to 11-2 and Liberty Hill to 16-0.
