The Robinson Knights came tearing into Friday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 27-20 victory over Braden River.
ERIC ARCHIELD JR. was his usual excellent self, throwing for 294 yards and a touchdown while completing 74.2% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Holman, who gained 92 total yards and two touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Braden River lost, one person who can't be blamed is Yahshua Edwards. Despite the final result, he rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns.
Robinson pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Braden River, Freedom, and Tampa Catholic. As for Braden River, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Robinson will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tampa Catholic at 7:30 p.m. Tampa Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 163 points over their last four games. Braden River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
