The Medina Mustangs were the 64-58 winner over the Kenmore East Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Medina took a 50-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kenmore East on Wednesday.
Medina's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Preston Woodworth, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Cole Callard, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Medina's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Kenmore East, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Medina will head out on the road to face off against Lancaster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kenmore East, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Maryvale at 6:30 p.m.
