The Beaufort Academy Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 28-9 fall against Colleton Prep Academy. Beaufort Academy lost against Colleton Prep Academy in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 23-20 score last time.
Beaufort Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxen Porter, who rushed for 201 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Dietrich Shuford also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.
Beaufort Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Colleton Prep Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3.
