The Bennett County Warriors lost against the Kadoka Kougars back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Bennett County was beaten by the Kougars 64-37. Bennett County has struggled against the Kougars recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Kadoka was led to victory by Garrett Hermann and Gus Stout. Hermann scored 16 points along with two steals, while Stout almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Stout has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Nemecek, who scored eight points along with five assists.
Bennett County's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Kadoka, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bennett County will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on February 2nd. St. Francis Indian is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Kadoka, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
