Hightstown strolled into their game  on Wednesday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  5-3  victory over the Montgomery Cougars. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the   5-1 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2023.
 Noah Francisco looked comfortable as he  pitched four innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Josiah Porter, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Daniel Krier also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Hightstown's victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hightstown will square off against Franklin at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Montgomery,  a feisty cat fight will be fought as Montgomery Cougars  challenge  North Hunterdon Lions at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
