The Pennsauken Indians came tearing into  Friday's  match with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They greeted the New Year with  with a  63-44 win over Doane Academy. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest  win Pennsauken has managed all season.
 Despite the loss, Doane Academy still got an impressive performance from   Nick Fusco, who  scored 23 points.  Hiatt Smith was another key contributor,  scoring ten points along with six  rebounds.
 Pennsauken's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Doane Academy, they bumped their record down to 3-7 with that  loss, which was their seventh straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pennsauken will take on Medford Tech at 5:15  p.m.  on Monday. Medford Tech knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully Pennsauken likes a good challenge. As for Doane Academy, they will look to defend their home court  on Monday against Cinnaminson at 5:30  p.m. Cinnaminson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Doane Academy in New Jersey (Cinnaminson is ranked 77th, while Doane Academy is ranked 320th).
