Boyd's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Boyer, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Mcgilvery, who scored ten points.
Boyd's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-16. As for Whitesboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
Boyd will head out on the road to face off against S & S Consolidated at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. S & S Consolidated is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Whitesboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley View at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley View is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
