After six games on the road, Lancaster is heading back home. They will take on the Essex Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lancaster has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 240 points over their last three games.
Lancaster scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Rappahannock 84-32 on the road. Lancaster has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 30 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Troy Henderson, who scored 32 points along with five steals. Henderson is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Davion Smith, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals.
Meanwhile, Essex's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 53-28 defeat to Northumberland might stick with them for a while.
Lancaster's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.85 points. As for Essex, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Lancaster against Essex in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 62-32 win. With Lancaster ahead 38-16 at the half, the game was all but over already.
