The Flatirons Academy Bison blew past the Kiowa Indians 54-18 for which the team can thank Rakers, who on her way to 27 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. The contest was her fifth in a row with at least 17 points.
Another player making a difference was Claire Friedman, who en route to 13 points and five rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Flatirons Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points over those games. Kiowa's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.
Coming up, Flatirons Academy will be playing at home against Gilpin County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gilpin County will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Flatirons Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kiowa, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-30 victory against Pikes Peak Christian on the 24th.
