Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Boston Latin should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will challenge Wayland on the road at Wayland HS-Wayland at 7:00 PM. Boston Latin will be looking to avenge the 8-45 loss they took the last time these two teams played.
Last Friday, Boston Latin were close but not close enough as they fell 24-27 to Boston Latin Academy. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Boston Latin.
Wayland had a rough outing against Hopkinton two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Wayland blew past Lynnfield 28-7.
Wayland's victory lifted them to 1-1 while Boston Latin's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll see if Wayland's success rolls on or if Boston Latin are able to steal their positive momentum.
