Baseball Game Preview: Redlands East Valley Wildcats vs. Beaumont Cougars

For the second straight game, Redlands East Valley will face off against Beaumont. The Wildcats will head out to take on the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Redlands East Valley has ten straight wins, Beaumont has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

It was a proper cat-fight when Redlands East Valley duked it out with Beaumont on Tuesday. The Wildcats blew past the Cougars 10-4.

Redlands East Valley got a big performance out of Connor Towns, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those four RBI gave Towns a new career-high. Eric Rivera was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Redlands East Valley's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Beaumont, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18.
