The Hamilton Braves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 40-31 to Etna. Hamilton lost against Etna in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 79-48 score last time.
Despite the defeat, Hamilton saw an underclassman step up: Kayden Strong scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Caden Stickney was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Etna, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Los Molinos the next time they take the court. Hamilton will host Los Molinos at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while Etna will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
