This season hasn't been kind to the Pine Hills Adventist Eagles, who are still winless after their fourth match. They took a serious blow against John Adams Academy on Wednesday, falling 64-27. Pine Hills Adventist was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-13.
Despite the loss, Pine Hills Adventist saw an underclassman step up: Brennan Reese dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
John Adams Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah McKee out in front who scored 17 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. McKee is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luciano Allen, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Pine Hills Adventist bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for John Adams Academy, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Hills Adventist will take on John Adams Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. John Adams Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Elite at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. Elite is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
