There's no need to mince words: Maquoketa lost to Marion last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 7-42. Maquoketa were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-28.
Meanwhile, Center Point-Urbana suffered a grim 7-35 defeat to Western Dubuque. This makes it the second loss in a row for Center Point-Urbana.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
