Jackie Smith was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Smith was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Charlotte Wentworth was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That double marked the first that she hit this season. Rosie Mays-Smith was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
