They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-45 win over Cloverleaf on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Coventry, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Coventry was led to victory by Alex Meinen and Jaden Keenan. Meinen scored nine points along with seven assists and six rebounds, while Keenan scored 21 points along with three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Keenan has scored at least 25% of Coventry's points. Cj Ross was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Coventry is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Cloverleaf, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coventry will face off against Canton Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
