Manchester Academy lost to Leake Academy 56-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Rebels made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,965 from 8,853. The improvement came about via a 56-6 victory over the Mavericks last week.
Riley Pierce and Drew Riley gave Oak Hill Academy a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Pierce threw for 68 yards, while Riley ran for 162 yards. Teammate Drake Riley added to the ground attack by rushing for 128 yards.
Pierce and Riley gave the Raiders a balanced attack through the air and ground last week.
Riley was the best running back in MAIS AA District 2 this week.
Taylor Moody was the best receiver in the league this week as Winston Academy fell to Heritage Academy. Moody racked up 4 receptions for 45 yards.
Riley provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Oak Hill Academy lost to Tri-County Academy. Riley's key target this week was Riley, who caught 2 passes for 40 yards.
Pierce put up the best numbers through the air as Daniel Merchant's team lost to the Rebels.
The Raiders' Pierce and Bradley Allen have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Pierce has thrown for 212 yards this season, while Allen has 5 catches for 74 yards. Lafayette Wales from Canton Academy leads the league in rushing with 355 yards.
