The Gibault Catholic Hawks lost against the Freeburg Midgets back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Gibault Catholic fell 56-49 to Freeburg. Gibault Catholic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Cole Stuart, who scored 26 points for Freeburg. The contest was Stuart's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Browning, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Gibault Catholic now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Freeburg, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibault Catholic will take on Routt Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Freeburg, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Roxana at 7:30 p.m.
