Basketball Recap: Jackson Price's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Faith Christian over Westover Christian Academy

Faith Christian lost against Westover Christian Academy back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Faith Christian Warriors fell 52-41 to the Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Faith Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jackson Price, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Price a new career-high. Another player making a difference was John Whitmore, who put up ten points.

It was another big night for Caleb Hill, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and three steals for Westover Christian Academy. Hill is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Hundley, who had ten points.

Faith Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Westover Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Faith Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-38 victory against Non Varsity Opponent on the 14th. Westover Christian Academy and Community Baptist will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Westover Christian Academy is facing Community Baptist at the right time seeing as Community Baptist is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
