High Point Academy took their match at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 67-20 victory over Spartanburg Christian Academy. Considering High Point Academy has won three games by more than 30 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
High Point Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jerry Jones, who scored 11 points along with three steals. The game was Jones' third in a row with at least ten points. Chris Copeland was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals.
High Point Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Spartanburg Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
High Point Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Greer Middle College at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Greer Middle College knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully High Point Academy likes a good challenge. Spartanburg Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Landrum at 8:30 p.m. on December 28th.
