The Worth County Rams lost to the Crisp County Cougars back in December of 2022, but the Worth County Rams didn't allow the Crisp County Cougars the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Worth County strolled past Crisp County with points to spare, taking the game 52-34. That 52-34 margin sets a new team best for Worth County this season.
Worth County found their leader in underclassman Jariah Williams, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Breonna Jackson, who scored six points.
Despite the loss, Crisp County still got an impressive performance from Miranda Moore, who scored seven points along with 26 rebounds and five blocks. Moore is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadashia Glover, who scored 11 points.
Even though they lost, Crisp County were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Worth County's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Crisp County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Worth County will be playing in front of their home fans against Colquitt County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Colquitt County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Crisp County, they will head out on the road to face off against Dooly County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Dooly County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
