The McClain Tigers will face off against the Greeneview Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. McClain has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while Greeneview will come in with four straight wins.
McClain couldn't beat Manchester on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Tigers fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 9-8.

Connor Chandler made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for McClain: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-9 otherwise. Hunter Peabody was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Greeneview ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-5 margin over Madison Plains. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won nine contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Nick Hassid and Trent Webb made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Hassid struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Webb pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. At the plate, Hassid went 4-for-6 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI, while Webb got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Hassid has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Feenux Parrish was incredible, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matthew Phillips, who went 2-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Greeneview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .395. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Madison Plains only posted a batting average of .242.
McClain's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Greeneview, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
