St. Cecilia scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 64-57 to the Sandy Creek Cougars. The defeat leaves the Bluehawks without a win on the season.

Ethan Shaw was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 35 points and nine rebounds for Sandy Creek. That makes it four consecutive games in which Shaw has scored at least a third of Sandy Creek's points. Kamerin Sealey was another key player, putting up 17 points and five rebounds.

St. Cecilia's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Sandy Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Cecilia won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lincoln Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
