The Four Corners Coyotes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They strolled past Mater Brighton Lakes Academy with points to spare, taking the game 84-69. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Leading Four Corners to victory were Kesh Harpal and Joshua Barnes. Harpal scored 19 points, while Barnes scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barnes has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Samir Dudley, who scored ten points.
Mater Brighton Lakes Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Duriel Muehlbauer and Justin Tuftan. Muehlbauer scored 25 points, while Tuftan scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Burgos, who scored eight points.
Four Corners' win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Mater Brighton Lakes Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Four Corners the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Hope Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hope Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Four Corners likes a good challenge.
