Fennville is on a seven-game streak of home losses, Lawrence a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Fennville Blackhawks will take on the Lawrence Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Fennville pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Allegan. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game two weeks ago (55), Fennville still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Lawrence struggled with assists on Saturday (Cassopolis had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Lawrence fell 44-36 to Cassopolis.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Zander Payment, who scored 11 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Simpson, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Fennville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Lawrence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Everything came up roses for Fennville against Lawrence when the teams last played back in February of 2018 as the team secured a 66-32 win. Will Fennville repeat their success, or does Lawrence have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
