After a string of three wins, the Kermit Yellow Jackets's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a hard 53-37 fall against Stanton. Kermit has struggled against Stanton recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Yellow Jackets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ebbin Mallory, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Iris Lujan, who scored six points along with three steals.
Kermit's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Stanton, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.
Kermit and Fort Stockton will round out the year against one another at 8:00 a.m. on December 28th at. As for Stanton, they will head out on the road to face off against Whiteface at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Whiteface presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Stanton in Texas (Whiteface is ranked 234th, while Stanton is ranked 1093rd).
