Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northwest). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the La Monte Vikings 66-25. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Vikings are ranked 486th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Northwest and bumps their season record up to 13-1. As for La Monte, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Northwest will head out on the road to face off against Smithton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest is facing Smithton at the right time seeing as Smithton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. La Monte has already played their next game (against Green Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
