The Asheboro Blue Comets walked away with a 62-53 win over the North Davidson Black Knights on Thursday thanks in part to Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and ten rebounds. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Jalial Timmons, who posted 12 points. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.
Despite the loss, North Davidson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carson Everhart had 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Everhart a new career-high in assists (three). Carson Davis was another key player, going 5-for-8 to rack up 11 points.
Asheboro is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
