The Lebanon Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Walnut Hills Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lebanon is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road.
Lebanon fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against West Clermont on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 55-53. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lebanon in their matchups with West Clermont: they've now lost three in a row.
Walnut Hills posted their biggest win yet this season on Monday. They breezed by Little Miami at home to the tune of 57-29. Given Walnut Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Little Miami is ranked 350th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lebanon's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4. As for Walnut Hills, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.
Lebanon was able to grind out a solid win over Walnut Hills in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 58-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lebanon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
