The Flinthills Mustangs won the last time they faced the Udall Eagles, and things went their way on Friday too. Flinthills walked away with a 46-34 win over the Eagles. Given Flinthills' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Eagles are ranked 306th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Korie Bird and Ciara Hopkins certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Bird scored six points, while Hopkins scored four points along with three steals.
Flinthills' victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Udall, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Flinthills will take on the Bluejays at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Udall, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cardinals on Tuesday. South Haven will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
