South Ridge extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 9-3 in the process. They put the hurt on the Cherry Tigers with a sharp 11-1 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

As for Cherry, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-4. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this match were averaging 4.08 runs allowed.

For Cherry's part, Mason Heitzman was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Ridge will head out to take on North Woods at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cherry, they will venture away from home to face off against Littlefork-Big Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
