Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Taylor County Bulldogs walked away with it. They snuck past the Buccaneers with a 37-32 win on Monday. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but Taylor County was the better team in the second half.
LeeAsia Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Taylor County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kourtney Jackson, who scored seven points.
Taylor County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 18 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.
Taylor County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Rutherford at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Rutherford will roll in looking for their 21st straight victory, something Taylor County surely won't give up without a fight. North Bay Haven Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
