Baseball Recap: Lincoln Charter Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Lincoln Charter had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Langtree Charter Academy on Thursday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Lions. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won nine in a row.

Cayden McFalls looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Danny Okoniewski, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Nate Rollins, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Lincoln Charter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .393 or higher in four consecutive contests.

The Stallions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
