Marist came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Molalla Indians 13-3. Considering the Spartans have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Marist's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Molalla, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-7.

Coming up, Marist will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Henley at 5:00 p.m. The Hornets will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. Molalla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
